Original Manga Serialization
The following characters appear in Akira Toriyama's Dragon Ball manga series in its original Weekly Shōnen Jump serialization.
Arale Norimaki (則巻アラレ)
The star of Akira Toriyama's first big hit, Dr. Slump, she is an absurdly powerful and rather demented robot girl created by Senbe. She loves monsters, poop, and wrestling above all else. When Goku comes to Penguin Village, she helps him out by sending General Blue flying. |
Maid Robot (メイドロボ)
A robot that takes care of housekeeping at Capsule Corporation. |
Obotchaman (オボッチャマン)
A robot created by Senbe's rival, the evil Dr. Mashirito, based on Arale's design. He has all of her powers, but is her opposite in most other ways, being extremely prim and proper. Originally created to destroy Senbe and co., he instead befriends them and falls in love with Arale. He has several pet cats, which he mentions during his brief appearance in Dragon Ball. |
Pirate Robot (海賊ロボ)
Guarding pirate treasure, this robot attacks Goku, Kuririn and Bulma as they venture into the pirates' abandoned hideout. It is equipped with a sword and a machine gun, and can attack with electricity through its tail. Goku destroys the robot by smashing into it from above. |
Red Ribbon Army Capsule Robot (RR軍のカプセルロボット)
After Colonel Silver blows up Kinto'un, Goku looks for other means of transportation by checking the contents of capsules at random. The first one reveals this robot, who knows which capsule contains an airplane. Goku cannot pilot it, so the robot does so for him. As they travel north and the air gets colder, the robot freezes, causing the plane to crash. |
Robotoriyama (ろぼとりやま)
One of Akira Toriyama's avatars, colloquially known as "Tori-bot". It pops up now and then to make fourth-wall-breaking cameo appearances. |
Sergeant Metallic (メタリック軍曹)
As a powerful robot in the Red Ribbon Army, he is tasked by General White with protecting the third floor of Muscle Tower in Jingle Village. He faces off against Goku, and even after having his head blown off by a Kamehameha, he keeps fighting. However, he eventually loses when his battery runs out. |
