Gyōsan Money is a fictional character in the Dragon Ball universe by Akira Toriyama. He is one of the wealthiest men in the world and the bankroller behind the Tenka'ichi Dai Budō Taikai, a tournament designed to be even grander than the Tenka'ichi Budōkai events held in the series. His only appearance is in Dragon Ball Z Movie 9, written by Takao Koyama.

Biography

Little has been revealed about the history of Gyōsan Money. Some time prior to Age 757, he met his future wife Okkanē and had a child with her, Doru Money. By Age 767, he was stated to be the richest man the world with extravagant outfits. He also wore several expensive rings. For his son's 10th birthday, he arranged the Tenka'ichi Dai Budō Taikai and invited 200 participants to create. Unlike the relative demure tournaments that he based his event on, he created a complicated pair of islands (one of which was also a boat) as well as large themed battle zones for the participants to fight in. Unfortunately, his tournament was infiltrated by Bojack and his gang and was never run to conclusion. Gyōsan Money and his family survived the tournament but nothing further has been revealed about the character.
