Naise is a fictional character in the fifth Dragon Ball Z film, The Incredible Strongest vs. Strongest, where he makes his debut as a member of the Coola Armored Corps.
Biography
Naise was born on Planet Coola No. 6, formerly known as Planet Zalt. His race evolved from a species of amphibians residing on a planet of only water. His skin and bones are flexible and elastic, allowing him to retract his head into his chest, and stretch his arms to attack distant opponents. His body contains an electricity generator, which enables him to emit a high-voltage current to electrocute his enemies to death. He is described in promotional material as a master of Space Yoga with a battle power of 163,000. [1]
Name
Naise's name is based on the katakana transliteration of mayonnaise (マヨネーズ mayoneezu).[2]
Production
Naise was designed by Akira Toriyama, along with several other key characters in the film. [3] His design was then adapted by Minoru Maeda for animation.
Notable Skills
Naise Bind Wave
Naise Bind Wave (ネイズバインドウェーブ Neizu Baindo Uēbu) is utilized by Naise against Piccolo in Dragon Ball Z Movie 5.[4] He generates a high-voltage electric current from both arms, rendering his opponent numb. The attack is unnamed in the movie but is called Naise Bind Wave in most game appearances from his playable debut in Dragon Ball: Raging Blast 2 onward.
