Okkanē Money is a fictional character in the Dragon Ball universe by Akira Toriyama. She and her husband are one of the wealthiest couples in the world and the bankroller behind the Tenka'ichi Dai Budō Taikai, a tournament designed to be even grander than the Tenka'ichi Budōkai events held in the series. Her only appearance is in Dragon Ball Z Movie 9, written by Takao Koyama.

Biography

Some time prior to Age 757, she met her future husband, Gyōsan and had a child with him, Doru Money. By Age 767, they were stated to be the richest couple in the world. For their son's 10th birthday, her husband arranged the Tenka'ichi Dai Budō Taikai and invited 200 participants to create. Unlike the relative demure tournaments that he based his event on, he created a complicated pair of islands (one of which was also a boat) as well as large themed battle zones for the participants to fight in. Unfortunately, the tournament was infiltrated by Bojack and his gang and was not run to conclusion. Okkanē Money and her family survived the tournament but nothing further has been revealed about the character.

Name

Okkanē Money's name, like that of his family, relates to them being very wealthy. Okkane (お金) is the Japanese word for "money".
