Universe Three is called the "Spiritual Universe". Their rank at the beginning of the Tournament of Power is No. 7 out of 12.[1] The universe is ruled by the Kaiōshin Ea, the God of Destruction Mosco, and his attendant Angel Camparri.

Inhabitants

Divine Beings

Toyotarō draws the Universe 3 cohort for the interstitial page following chapter 38 in volume 8 (digital color edition).[2]
Ea (エア)
Japanese VA: Makoto Naruse
FUNimation VA: Alfie Coy
First Appears: Dragon Ball Super Chapter 28 / Dragon Ball Super Episode 78

Ea is influenced by machine-loving mortals[3] and particularly interested in machine life-form robots who have surpassed mortal evolution.[4] Ea's name pun is unknown, but many Kaiōshin appear to have been named after deities, and Ea (エア Ea)—a water god of Babylonian mythology, also known as "Enki" in Sumerian mythology—is a likely source for his name.[5]

Mosco (モスコ)
Japanese VA: Daisuke Kishio
FUNimation VA: Chris Cason
First Appears: Dragon Ball Super Chapter 28 / Dragon Ball Super Episode 78

Mosco is a robot-like God of Destruction who is said to have surpassed mortal intelligence. It is also said that, because he is an old robot and cannot speak, he communicates his intentions with electronic sound translated by his Angel Camparri.[4][6] However he is actually a mech operated by a small horned man named Mule.[7] Mosco's name is taken from Moscow Mule (モスコ・ミュール Mosuko Myūru), a cocktail served in a copper mug and made with vodka, ginger beer, and lime juice. This pun was deduced by fans long before the reveal of Mule,[8] who is only named in the credits of Dragon Ball Super Episode 121, because the name pun follows the theme of Gods of Destruction and Angels being named after alcoholic beverages.[5]

Camparri (カンパーリ)
Japanese VA: Bin Shimada
FUNimation VA: Calvin Scott Roberts
First Appears: Dragon Ball Super Chapter 28 / Dragon Ball Super Episode 78

Camparri understands the electronic sounds of Mosco and can interpret them.[4] Camparri's name is likely derived from Campari (カンパリ Kanpari), an Italian alcoholic liqueur obtained from the infusion of herbs and fruit in alcohol and water. This name pun follows the theme of Gods of Destruction and Angels being named after alcoholic beverages.[5]

Warriors

The warriors of Universe 3 are all named after Italian food.[5]

Narirama (ナリラーマ)
Japanese VA: Takeshi Kusao
FUNimation VA: Daman Mills
First Appears: Dragon Ball Super Chapter 33 / Dragon Ball Super Episode 92

Narirama is a cyborg warrior reinforced and remodeled for use in the Tournament of Power. Although he aimed his body's giant cannon at Hit, the tables were turned and he was dropped out.[9] Narirama's name is likely an anagram of Marinara (マリナーラ), an Italian tomato sauce that originated in Naples, usually made with tomatoes, garlic, herbs, and onions. Narirama was eliminated from the Tournament of Power in Dragon Ball Super Episode 100 by Hit of Universe 6.

Nigrissi (ニグリッシ)
Japanese VA: Daisuke Kishio
FUNimation VA: Jon Allen
First Appears: Dragon Ball Super Chapter 33 / Dragon Ball Super Episode 92

Nigrissi is a remodeled warrior with a trademark "~Guri" expression. In the Tournament of Power, he was dropped out of the ring by Cabba's blow.[9] Nigrissi's name is likely an anagram of Grissini (グリッシーニ): long, thin, Italian-style breadsticks native to Turin in the foothills of the Italian Alps. Nigrissi was eliminated from the Tournament of Power in Dragon Ball Super Episode 100 by Cabba of Universe 6.

The Priccio (ザ・プリーチョ)
Japanese VA: Masami Kikuchi
FUNimation VA: J. Michael Tatum
First Appears: Dragon Ball Super Chapter 33 / Dragon Ball Super Episode 92

The Priccio is Universe 3's cyborg warrior. Blown out of the ring by Tenshinhan's Kikōhō.[9][10] The Priccio's name is likely based on Capricciosa (カプリチョーザ), a pizza garnished with mushrooms, artichokes, ham, and olives. The Priccio was eliminated from the Tournament of Power in Dragon Ball Super Episode 101 by the Turtle Hermit and Tenshinhan of Universe 7.

Catopesra (カトペスラ)
Japanese VA: Yūsei Oda
FUNimation VA: Garret Storms
First Appears: Dragon Ball Super Chapter 33 / Dragon Ball Super Episode 92

Catopesra is a policeman who protects Universe 3. His belt buckle lights up, changing to various modes.[9] Catopesra's name is likely an anagram of Pescatora (ペスカトーラ), a style of Italian cooking, traditionally marinara pasta with seafood components. Catopesra was eliminated from the Tournament of Power in Dragon Ball Super Episode 119 by Gamisalas of Universe 4. In the manga, he was eliminated in Dragon Ball Super Chapter 33 by Vegeta of Universe 7.

Boraleta (ボラレータ)
Japanese VA: Daisuke Kishio
FUNimation VA: Daman Mills
First Appears: Dragon Ball Super Chapter 33 / Dragon Ball Super Episode 92

Boraleta is a speed-type robotic warrior capable of extremely fast movement. He lays waste to his surroundings by shaking the iron balls attached to the end of both arms.[11] Boraleta's name is likely based on Polenta (ポレンタ), an Italian dish of paste or dough made from cornmeal which is boiled and typically then fried or baked. Boraleta was eliminated from the Tournament of Power in Dragon Ball Super Episode 121 by the Universe 7 team.

Koitsukai (コイツカイ)
Japanese VA: Yūsuke Numata
FUNimation VA: Derick Snow
First Appears: Dragon Ball Super Chapter 33 / Dragon Ball Super Episode 96

Koitsukai analyzes opponents' battle power using his giant eye. He can pilot Boraleta and Pancea.[11][12] Koitsukai's name is likely a play on こいつガイ koitsu gai, meaning "This guy?" Koitsukai was eliminated from the Tournament of Power in Dragon Ball Super Episode 121 by the Universe 7 team.

Paparoni (パパロニ)
Japanese VA: Hideyuki Hori
FUNimation VA: Christopher Bevins
