Narirama is a fictional character in the Japanese animated television series Dragon Ball Super and its companion manga series written by Toyotarō. Narirama makes his debut in Dragon Ball Super Episode 92, broadcast on 28 May 2017 on Fuji TV, as a modified warrior of Universe 3.
Biography
Narirama is a cyborg warrior reinforced and remodeled for use in the Tournament of Power. Although he aimed his body's giant cannon at Hit, the tables were turned and he was dropped out.[1]
Tournament of Power

Narirama is presented to Mosco, Camparri, and Ea on Mosco's planet by Nigrissi, Universe 3's greatest modified warrior. Narirama demonstrates his skills, starting by skating toward the gods to show off his speed and agility. Nigrissi elaborates as Narirama demonstrates: he has iron claws that he can use to grip the arena to prevent elimination in the Tournament of Power. Mosco wants to know what will happen if his arm gets cut off, so Narirama shows off the super suction cups installed in his shoulders which have a powerful vacuum force. He can also extend his limbs and spin around; this is his Super Survival Mode.[2]
Narirama is next seen when the Great Priest transports the Universe 3 team to the World of Void for the tournament.[3] Narirama goes into Super Survival Mode shortly after the tournament begins, first knocking aside the Maiden Squadron and angering Helles, the God of Destruction of Universe 2. Helles says that it is not beautiful to attack the maidens before they transform. Dispo of Universe 11 and Cabba of Universe 6 are the next to get knocked aside. Champa thinks this move is a dirty trick, but he is nevertheless impressed, and Ea is proud of Narirama's moves. The next to go flying are Methiop and Murisam of Universe 10 along with Shosa of Universe 4. With Camparri translating, Mosco orders Narirama to force them out of the ring. Ea is convinced that they will be the ones to survive.
Narirama's destructive path ends when Hit of Universe 6 intercedes to step on one of Narirama's hands, and Basil of Universe 9 joins him, stepping on the other hand. Rou compliments Basil as Narirama collapses on the fighting stage. Nigrissi calls after him in distress, and Ea cannot believe this perfect survival tactic failed. Champa suggests that Universe 3 is drowning in its own schemes, while the Omni-Kings and the Great Priest note that their plan failed.[4]

Hit finishes the job later, severing Narirama's arms and offering him the choice to jump out of the ring, or be knocked out by him. Narirama begins charging up his main cannon, and Ea laughs, thinking Hit has underestimated Narirama, but at the instant the cannon is fired, Hit uses Time-Skip to knock Narirama out of the ring as his cannon shoots harmlessly into the air. Ea cannot believe that Narirama was eliminated so easily.[5]
Narirama is erased along with the rest of Universe 3 after the defeat of Agnilasa.[6] When No. 17 uses the Super Dragon Balls to restore all of the destroyed universes, Narirama is seen with Mosco, Ea, and the rest of his teammates back home in Universe 3.[7]
Name
Narirama's name is likely an anagram of Marinara (マリナーラ), an Italian tomato sauce that originated in Naples, usually made with tomatoes, garlic, herbs, and onions. The character name is a complete rearrangement of the katakana used to write "marinara" in Japanese.[8]
Performance
Narirama is voiced by Takeshi Kusao, best known as the voice of Trunks. In the Tournament of Power, Kusao also gives his voice to Lavenda and Hyssop of Universe 9, and Vuon of Universe 11's Pride Troopers. In the FUNimation dub, Narirama is voiced by Daman Mills, best known for his work as an understudy to Christopher Ayres for the role of Freeza. Mills has also voiced several other franchise roles including Monaka.
