Artificial Human No. 17 is a fictional character in the Dragon Ball universe by Akira Toriyama. He is a major antagonist in the latter portion of the manga, appears in a small role in Dragon Ball GT, and returns as a major supporting character during the Tournament of Power arc in Dragon Ball Super. No. 17 was originally a human, Lapis, who was converted to an Artificial Human by Doctor Gero as part of a plot to kill Son Goku. While powerful on his own, No. 17 was designed to integrate with Cell to help that Artificial Human reach his "Perfect" form.
Biography
A brief biography of the character. Its length should be relative to the character's involvement in the series, but brevity and conciseness is still expected.
Name
Like all of the other Artificial Humans, Doctor Gero gave No. 17 a numeric name to represent his place in the development timeline. Toriyama's idea for numbered robots may have originated in Dr. Slump Chapter 67 with Dr. Mashirito and his numbered Caramel Man creations.[5] Like Doctor Gero, Marshirito's robots were also intended for world conquest.
Production
When appropriate, a description of the character's production, including who initially designed the character (if an anime original character), notes about their design or conception, etc.
Notable Skills
A list or description of notable skills or techniques. Video game techniques should be separated from those used in the series proper.
Performance
A list or description of the various voice actors that portrayed the character.
