The Prayer Leader is a fictional character created for the tenth Dragon Ball Z film, Dragon Ball Z: The Dangerous Duo! Super-Warriors Can’t Rest. The film premiered at Toei Anime Fair on 12 March 1994. He returns in the following film, Super-Warrior Defeat!! I'm the One Who'll Win.
Biography
The Prayer Leader lives in Natade Village, a once flourishing mining village. The Prayer Leader claims a dinosaur attacking the village is a mountain god, and under the threat of its attack, he instructs the villagers to perform a ritual to ward it off, using the young girl Coco as a sacrifice. His ritual is interrupted when Son Goten, Trunks, and Videl arrive and defeat the dinosaur.

Production
The Prayer Leader was designed by Tadayoshi Yamamuro. Like the wardrobe of the other Natade Village residents, his outfit was designed using tribal clothes as reference, likely those of Nordic origin. The necktie wrapped around his head evokes the stereotypical image of a drunk man.[1]
