Udō is a fictional character in the ninth Dragon Ball Z film, The Galaxy at the Brink!! The Super Incredible Guy. Udō is a competitor in the Tenka'ichi Dai Budō Taikai.
Biography

Udō is a large man who competes in the Tenka'ichi Dai Budō Taikai, successfully making his way through the preliminary battles. Udō faces Son Gohan in the first semi-finals match. Though he is annoyed and confident he will win having to face a child, he is easily foot-swept out of the ring (and, furthermore, through a cliff).[1]
Name
Udō's name is likely taken from the aralia cordata plant (独活, udo in Japanese), and in particular the phrase udo no taiboku, meaning a "good-for-nothing" (since the Udo plant is not very sturdy, much like the character being easily knocked out of the ring by Gohan).
Performance
Udō is uncredited in the film and his voice actor is unknown.
Notable Appearances
Udō appears exclusively in Dragon Ball Z Movie 9.
Notes
Udō is seen in character artwork and on monitors during the film itself wearing a cowboy hat, though by the time he faces Gohan he is no longer wearing this hat. It may have been lost during the preliminary round.
