Ganos is a fictional character in the Japanese animated television series Dragon Ball Super and its companion manga series written by Toyotarō. Ganos makes his debut in Dragon Ball Super Episode 93, broadcast on 04 June 2017 on Fuji TV, as spy for Universe 4.

Biography

Ganos is a warrior who has the ability to get stronger the more he fights. In the Tournament of Power, he was launched out of the ring by the Turtle Hermit's Bankoku-Bikkuri-Shō.[1]

Name

Ganos's name is likely derived from Oregano (マリナーラ), a cooking herb commonly found in western and southwestern Eurasia and the Mediterranean region. The character name drops the first two syllables of the katakana used to write "oregano" in Japanese, with the addition of the "su" syllable at the end.[2]

Performance

Ganos is voiced by Hiroaki Miura whose Dragon Ball roles include Zarbon in Dragon Ball Kai. In the FUNimation dub, Ganos is voiced by Brandon McInnis in his first credited role for the franchise.
