Cell is one of the primary antagonists in the latter portion of the Dragon Ball manga series by Akira Toriyama. Cell first appeared in Dragon Ball Chapter 361, although his origin stretches back to the Red Ribbon Army, introduced in Dragon Ball Chapter 55. Cell is an Artificial Human, one of a long line of such created by Doctor Gero for the express purpose of seeking revenge on Son Goku.
