The Demon King Piccolo is a fictional character in the Dragon Ball manga series by Akira Toriyama. The Demon King Piccolo makes his debut in chapter 135, published in the 1987 #35 issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shōnen Jump.
Biography
Before the offspring of the Namekian Katatz is allowed to take up the position of God of Earth, he must purify his heart and get rid of the evil that is dwelling deep within. When he finally manages to expel that evil, it takes the form of the Demon King Piccolo.[3] Piccolo goes on to terrorize the Earth, until a martial artist named Mutaito uses the Mafūba technique to seal Piccolo away inside an electric rice cooker. A young apprentice of Mutaito's, who becomes known as the Turtle Hermit later in life, sinks this sealed rice cooker to the bottom of the ocean.
Hundreds of years later,[a] the rice cooker is found and opened by the Pilaf Gang, releasing the Demon King Piccolo back into the world. Pilaf hopes that the Demon King will bestow part of the world upon him once it has been conquered, and tells him about the wish-granting Dragon Balls.
