The digital download version of 2011’s console fighting game for the franchise, Dragon Ball Z: Ultimate Tenkaichi, is currently at a reduced price of $9.89 as a part of this week’s Xbox Live sale. This price is specific to Xbox Live Gold members, an add-on service for the console ecosystem that allows for multiplayer gaming and other perks.

Xbox Live is regularly $59.99 per year (or, alternatively, $9.99 per month).

Ultimate Tenkaichi is still widely available on disc for both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 at its now-standard $29.99 price point. You, of course, may wish to read our Ultimate Tenkaichi review before making any purchasing decisions!

It may be $9.89, but that’s still $9.89 more than I’m willing to pay for that game.

Agreed. Last game I bought was DB Origins 2, and I’m not buying a single more game unless they convince me it’s worth buying (i.e. different from all the other games). I have so many I just decided they were enough. Still wishing someone made DB Origins 3 so I could finally have a game with the 23rd Tenkaichi Budoukai.

I don’t think “Dragon Ball Origins 3” would include the 23rd Tenkaichi Budoukai. However, this 23rd Tenkaichi Budoukai is in “Attack of the Saiyans” (and it’s also the starting point of many other DBZ games for GB and SNES).

1 – It probably would, the first two games had a lot more travelling, so it was possible to make more game zones. Starting from the 22nd Tenkaichi Budoukai, the series is a lot more about the action and a lot less about the travelling and the adventure, so it would make for a lot less game zones, so I think they would most likely have included the 23rd Tenkaichi Budoukai.

2 – I know it is in Attack of the Saiyans, I would just rather have a game that would focus more on the pre-Z era than a Z-era game that also happens to have the 23rd Tenkaichi Budoukai (I will reconsider it, though).

3 – What GB games? I’m obviously not getting any SNES ones, but I’ve never heard of any GB game that included the 23rd Tenkaichi Budokai. Advanced Adventure ended just before it and no other game that I know of begins there.
