Conic is a fictional character in the Japanese animated television series Dragon Ball Super and its companion manga series written by Toyotarō. Conic makes his debut in Dragon Ball Super Episode 78, broadcast on 12 February 2017 on Fuji TV, as the Angel of Universe Four.

Biography

Talented and insightful, Conic is like a watchdog for Universe Four.[2]

Tournament of Power

Conic attends the Zen Exhibition Match with Quitela and Kur, the God of Destruction and Kaiōshin of Universe Four, where they learn that the participation of their universe in the Tournament of Power is required. The Great Priest reveals that the Gods of Destruction and Kaiōshin of the participating universes will be erased along with their universe should they fail to win, while the Angels will be spared.[3]

Name

Conic's name is likely derived from "cognac" (コニャック/konyakku), a variety of brandy named after the town of Cognac, France. The character name drops a syllable modification of the katakana used to write "cognac" in Japanese. This name pun follows the theme of Gods of Destruction and Angels being named after alcoholic beverages.[4]

Performance

Conic has yet to speak on screen and has never been assigned a voice actor.
