Korn is a fictional character in the Japanese animated television series Dragon Ball Super and its companion manga series written by Toyotarō. Korn makes his debut in Dragon Ball Super Episode 78, broadcast on 12 February 2017 on Fuji TV, as the Angel of Universe Eight.
Biography
Korn is a very assertive angel who is not shy about sharing his high opinion of himself.[3]
Tournament of Power
Korn attends the Zen Exhibition Match with Liquir and Il, the God of Destruction and Kaiōshin of Universe Eight, where they learn that their universe is exempt from the Tournament of Power. The Great Priest reveals that the Gods of Destruction and Kaiōshin will be erased along with their universe should they fail to win, while the Angels will be spared.[4]
Name
Korn's name comes from Korn (コルン/Korun), a German colorless distilled beverage produced from fermented cereal grain seed.[5]
The name "Korn" (コーン, Kōn), based off the grain rather than the German beverage, was initially proposed for a female Saiyan in Dragon Ball Z TV Special 1, who would later become Selypa after revisions from Akira Toriyama.[6]
Performance
Korn has yet to speak on screen and has never been assigned a voice actor.
