An insert song is a special piece of music that occurs within the body of an episode or film. Insert songs do differ from background music (BGM) in the amount of “attention” they are given, particularly in an additional notation (generally alongside the opening and ending theme) in the episode’s or film’s full credits. In many cases, there is not much dialogue placed over the insert song. In comparison to the numerous image songs that were recorded and released for the franchise, the television series actually features very few insert songs.
