"Turn Anger Into Power! Vegeta's All-Out Battle" is the thirty-fifth episode of the Japanese animated television series Dragon Ball Super. The episode first aired in Japan on Fuji TV on 20 March 2016. It was written by King Ryū and directed by Kazuya Karasawa.
Synopsis
Summary
At Vegeta's insistence, Frost has not been disqualified for using a weapon, and the two of them are set to fight in the next match. Frost thinks that Vegeta must be very confident to do this, possibly because he assumes Frost is incapable of achieving anything without resorting to dirty tricks. Frost admits that his tricks are his greatest weapon, but it also means he has been holding back up until now. With the use of weapons permitted for this one match, Frost gloats that he can now shamelessly and freely use his poison needle. He even hints that Vegeta might die... "accidentally", of course. As the match begins though, Vegeta becomes a Super Saiyan and immediately defeats Frost with a blow so hard that it sends him crashing into the barrier surrounding the ring, cracking it slightly and forcing Vados to quickly repair it again.
On the sidelines, Beerus locates a small wound from Frost's poison needle on Goku's hand, confirming that Goku lost due to Frost's use of an illicit weapon. Goku's loss is therefore annulled, giving him the right to fight once again. Goku wants to go after Monaka, but Beerus insists that he go after Vegeta instead. Goku is worried that he and Vegeta will win the rest of the tournament on their own and never get to see Monaka fight, but Beerus absolutely insists on Monaka going last. Whis wonders how long Beerus intends to hide "the truth" about Monaka from the others, but Beerus cuts him off. Meanwhile, Goku notices how Monaka looks remarkably solemn as he sits still with his eyes closed, but Whis informs him that Monaka lost consciousness after seeing Goku's Kamehameha back in Round 1. Goku is still obsessed with sparring with Monaka, or at least talking to him, but Beerus expressly forbids it. If Monaka is disturbed during his "meditation", he will incinerate anyone who gets in his way, friend or foe alike. He even destroyed an entire planet like this once! Goku reluctantly agrees to leave him alone.
Vados creates a new cube-shaped barrier around the fighting ring, and the referee announces that a new rule has been added, stating that any contestant touching this barrier, even in mid-air, will lose by ring-out. Beerus is outraged that Champa has gone and added this new rule without consulting him, and the two begin a match of rock-paper-scissors to settle their argument. Elsewhere, Frost sneaks off and approaches Champa's "Cube". Frost remembers how Champa prepared everything the fighters on his team desired, saying they could have as much as they wanted if they won, but if they lost... "I don't have to tell you what will happen". Having now lost, Frost plans to steal Champa's Cube and flee, saying that in such a vessel not even the Gods of Destruction or the Galactic Patrol will be able to catch up with him. At that moment though, Hit appears and tells Frost to stop. Frost says Hit is a "legendary assassin", and wonders whether Champa ordered Hit to kill him, or if Hit was hired by a survivor from one of the planets he destroyed. Hit uses a bizarre technique to knock Frost out, saying to himself that the Cube has already been promised to him.
Back at the arena, Beerus and Champa's rock-paper-scissors match fails to settle anything, but since Vegeta himself is fine with the new rule, the match goes ahead. Vegeta is unsure what Champa's team is plotting, but is certain he will not fall for any "stupid traps". His next opponent is "Autto Magetta", member of the robot-like race of "Metalmen" from Galactic System 66950. The Kaiōshin of Universe 6 assumes this race must also be found in Universe 7, though Kibito is not so sure. Looking at the big, bulky Magetta, Vegeta is quick to judge that his fighting style revolves around using power to cover for his lack of speed. And as the fight begins, this indeed seems to be the case. Vegeta brags that his power and speed are both up to snuff, and delivers a damaging blow to Magetta's head. However, Magetta simply bashes his own head repeatedly, finally producing another head, good as new.
The fight recommences, and Vegeta notes that Magetta's power and speed have now both increased. Judging that he had best avoid hand-to-hand combat, Vegeta flees into the air, but Magetta opens his mouth and spits out an enormous quantity of lava at him. The referee clarifies that this is not a weapon, but simply Magetta's "magma spit". Vegeta retaliates with a barrage of ki blasts, but in his attempt to distance himself from Magetta he risks touching the barrier around the arena and losing by ring-out. Vegeta suddenly realizes that Champa instated this new rule in order to limit mid-air combat, since that is Magetta's weak point. Undaunted, he says Magetta is not the only one who can power up, and promptly transforms into a Super Saiyan. As Vegeta continues to rain ki blasts down on Magetta, Whis says the situation is not good, and asks Goku if he's "noticed it". The arena seems to be heating up...
