Prum is a fictional character in the Japanese animated television series Dragon Ball Super and its companion manga series written by Toyotarō. Prum makes his debut in Dragon Ball Super Episode 96, broadcast on 25 June 2017 on Fuji TV, as a member of the Universe 2 team.
Biography
Prum's body turns silver as he bounces back energy spheres. In the Tournament of Power, he is blown off the ring by Vegeta's attack.[1][2] In the manga continuity, Prum is eliminated by No. 18 just after the tournament begins.[3]
Tournament of Power

Prum is transported by the Great Priest to the World of Void along with his teammates.[4] Prum and Harmira are the only members of the Universe 2 team who do not participate in the rituals of the Maiden Squadron.[5]
As Gohan and Piccolo are recovering from their earlier battle with Obni and Rubalt, Dr. Rota approaches them, asking them to allow him to show them why he is called Dr. Rota. He announces, "My ability is—" before being shot off his rock by an unseen attacker. This attacker turned out to be Harmira, using Prum as a rebound. Gohan and Piccolo take cover, barely dodging another blast. Piccolo tosses a rock outside their hiding place, and the rock is immediately blasted. Piccolo explains that this is an attack that focuses ki on a single point, like his Makankōsappō, but shot from far away. Gohan notes that its accuracy is incredible, and Piccolo says he cannot sense any ki at all, and they cannot move from their hiding place. Gohan wonders whether Dr. Rota is dead, but Piccolo points out that the attacker would have been disqualified if he were.
A reflective ball floats through the arena, passing over the prone form of Dr. Rota before catching Piccolo and Gohan in its sights. Prum watches them through the ball. Piccolo warns Gohan to suppress his ki and suggests they move to a safer location. As they move, Piccolo's arm is shot off. Gohan rushes to his side, but Piccolo tells him not to worry; he regenerates his arm, and tells Gohan not to worry about his stamina; they have to find their enemy, though Gohan cannot see how. Meanwhile, Prum cannot find them, so he inhales and ejects several dozen balls from his mouth. They scatter around the arena, floating and searching for targets. Piccolo baits Prum by stretching his arm far away from his body; Prum takes the bait, and Piccolo pulls his arm back so the blast hits a rock. Gohan points in the direction the blast came from. They decide to head in that direction, using smoke as cover.
Prum is frustrated, and under the cover of the smoke, Piccolo finds one of Prum's balls. Piccolo wonders whether the attacker is using these to keep track of them. Meanwhile, Prum gets a sight on them using their body heat. He shoots, and they see the blast coming through the ball, dodging just in time. Piccolo shatters the ball against a rock, and he feels heat when it explodes. Prum aims at them again, and several other spots around the arena.
The Omni-Kings notice that some fighters have stopped moving. The Great Priest explains that a sniper is lurking, someone who shoots enemies from afar. The Omni-Kings think this is very cool. From the sidelines, Kuririn tries to warn Gohan and Piccolo to be careful, but Beerus points out that they can never defeat the enemy if they do not move. Tenshinhan goes to check on Dr. Rota, and notices that he does not appear to have any wounds. Goku and Vegeta approach, and Vegeta asks Tenshinhan why he is slacking. Tenshinhan warns them to get down; an enemy is shooting from far away. Vegeta thinks this is ridiculous–all they have to do is dodge—but just then a blast shoots across his face. Goku and Vegeta get down, the latter cursing about the coward shooting from the shadows.
Meanwhile, Piccolo has lost both of his arms from the last attack. Piccolo asks Gohan whether he is alright, and then regenerates his arms. He tells Gohan that the enemy is locking onto their body heat, which they cannot suppress like their ki. They use their ki to heat up several rocks in the vicinity; this frustrates Prum, but he uses his body to deflect attacks all across the arena. Tenshinhan, Vegeta, and Goku watch as Gohan and Piccolo dodge the blasts; Vegeta chides them for not fighting back. Goku notices Prum and observes that it looks like one person is shooting and another person is reflecting the shots. Vegeta decides to take the closest enemy. Tenshinhan tells Goku to take this one while he goes to assist Gohan and Piccolo.
Goku and Vegeta run toward Prum, attacking him with a combined Galic Cannon and Kamehameha. Vegeta tells Prum he is a coward, and vows to take him out in one shot. He attacks Prum with a ki blast, and Prum uses his body to reflect it back at him and Goku. He tells them he knew they would come for him first. Harmira aims another shot at Prum, and Prum reflects this one at them too, explaining that he observes enemies and acts as a mirror, while the real attacker stays safe. Vegeta says they should have gone for the source of the attacks, but Prum tells them they are too late. Vegeta tells Goku to take care of Prum while he goes for the real attacker. Harmira changes location and attacks again, and Prum shouts "Reflection!" as he redirects the blast. Goku and Vegeta dodge again.
Tenshinhan observes this from his place with Gohan and Piccolo, noticing that Harmira is moving around while shooting in order to protect his location. Gohan wonders if this could be a decoy as well, but Tenshinhan says it does not matter. He uses his Multi-Form technique to split into four. The four Tenshinhans charge toward Harmira and loses one clone almost immediately; Kuririn explains to Shin that this technique splits Tenshinhan's power and speed into four. Tenshinhan notices Harmira move again and loses another clone as he continues to charge. Kuririn explains that Tenshinhan has the eyes to track Harmira, but lacks the power to defend himself.
Vegeta tells Goku they should attack Prum with rocks, since ki blasts don't work; as Prum is pummeled, he calls out to Harmira, but Harmira is under attack himself. Eventually Harmira and Tenshinhan eliminate each other, much to Prum's distress. Vegeta asks him if he has any attacks of his own, while Goku holds a rock to throw at him. Prum tries to run away, but Dr. Rota intercepts him, mocking him for thinking he had defeated him before. He promises to show Prum why he is called Dr. Rota. He says, "My ability is—" but Vegeta tells him to shut up and blasts them both over the edge before Dr. Rota can finish speaking. Goku drops his rock, and the Great Priest announces Prum's elimination.[1]
Prum is erased along with the rest of his teammates when the Pretty Black Hole attack fails.[6] When No. 17 uses the Super Dragon Balls to restore all of the destroyed universes, Prum is seen with Helles, Peru, and the rest of the team back at home in Universe 2.[7]
Name
Prum's name is likely derived from Rump (ランプ), a steak cut from the rump or round area of cattle. The character name is a rearrangement of the katakana used to write "rump" in Japanese.[8]
Performance
Prum is voiced by Nobuyuki Hiyama, who voices Barry Kahn in Dragon Ball Super. In the FUNimation dub, Prum is voiced by Jim Foronda, who has provided several minor voices since Dragon Ball Z Kai.
