With 35 days remaining until the film’s debut, the official blog to promote Dragon Ball Z: Revival of “F” has updated with a short comment from the voice of Trunks himself, Takeshi Kusao:
こんにちは！ブルマよ。
映画公開まであと35日！
今日は、私の息子、トランクスを演じている草尾毅さんがコメントをいただいたわよ！新作のドラゴンボールというのがまず驚きで、最初に聞いたときは信じられない！という気持ちでした。
今回の脚本は鳥山先生が書かれたと聞いて、よりドラゴンボールの純粋なエッセンスが詰まった作品になるだろうな。と思いました。原点回帰してかわいらしくアットホームな世界観なのか、ドラゴンボールらしいアクションの要素が満載なのか、どこを切り取ってもこれぞ“鳥山明”というすごいものになるのは間違いないので、その話をきいただけで、より興味が倍増して、鳥肌が立ちました。
今回初めてドラゴンボールをご覧になる方も、お子さんと一緒にご覧になるお父さんお母さんも、完成を楽しみにしていてください。
今作は、次の時代のドラゴンボール伝説の幕開けになると思います。
『復活の「F」』から、さらに来年、再来年とずーっと続いていくように皆さんも歴史の証人として、ここから新たに始まるドラゴンボール伝説の１ページを心ゆくまで思う存分、楽しんでください。

Just 35 days to go until the movie premieres!
Today we’ve got a comment from the man who plays my son Trunks, Takeshi Kusao!When I first heard there was going to be new Dragon Ball, I was so surprised I could hardly believe it. And when I heard that the script this time around was written by Toriyama-sensei, I thought that perhaps we’d get a film that captures more of the pure essence of Dragon Ball.
Would he return to first principles and make something with a sweet and at-home perspective, or something fully-loaded with Dragon Ball-style action? With Akira Toriyama, no matter where he drew the line it would definitely turn out incredible. Just hearing about his involvement gave me goosebumps and made me twice as interested as before.
Even people just seeing Dragon Ball for the first time, or parents watching it with their children, should look forward to this film.
I think this film will raise the curtain on the next era of the Dragon Ball legend.
As eyewitnesses to history, everyone should enjoy to their heart’s content this first page of the Dragon Ball legend that starts here, so that it will continue on after Revival of “F” with another film next year, and another the year after that, on and on.
I think I’ll even go enjoy it along with everyone else.
The story for Revival of “F”, opening nationwide in Japan 18 April 2015 in 2D and IMAX 3D, is being crafted by original manga author Akira Toriyama, who stated he is writing it, “…as though it were a continuation of the manga when it was in serialization,” and that while it will, “…of course be a continuation of the previous Battle of Gods,” he has also, “…deliberately increased the amount of action scenes by a good deal.” Tadayoshi Yamamuro, who worked for many years as character designer and animation supervisor on the Dragon Ball franchise, will serve as the film’s director and animation supervisor. Norihito Sumitomo will return from Battle of Gods and the Majin Boo arc of Dragon Ball Kai for musical composition duties. Momoiro Clover Z will contribute a song alongside Maximum the Hormone, whose “F” will be used as a “battle song” during the film. Revival of “F” is set to bring back Freeza and will also include two new characters (Sorbet and Tagoma), feature Beerus and Whis again from Battle of Gods, and much more.
