While mostly only playing the role of Jheece in the Dragon Ball series, Tanaka played a wide range of roles in various series. He passed away on the 20th of this month due to his issues with cor pulmonale.

Chow Yun-Fat has indeed joined the cast of the live action movie! He will be playing Kame-Sen’nin (Master Roshi), lending at least a little more authority to the cast. Apparently director James Wong also tried to get some more Asian talent, including Edison Chen and Jitty Zhang Yuqi.

hoyCinema has posted a few photos from the set of the upcoming live action Dragon Ball movie. Nothing really special yet — honestly, it looks more like “hey, the guy has arrived on the set” more than anything truly substantial. Emmy Rossum has at least been confirmed as playing Bulma, though.
