Toei Animation has uploaded a new promotional video in support of the Dragon Ball Super television series’ on-going “Universe Survival arc“. While a previous video focused solely on #17 (returning to the series after an extended absence), this latest video briefly highlights each member of Universe 7’s team with footage from the original Dragon Ball Z television series (from its Kai remastering) as well as current Super material.

Though not yet included in Shueisha’s own online listings, Amazon Japan has dated the Dragon Ball Super manga’s third collected volume for 02 June 2017.

The series’ second collected volume saw its release in Japan back in December 2016 spanning chapters 10 to 15 and the second Jump Victory Carnival bonus comic.

The Dragon Ball Super “comicalization” began in June 2015 as a promotional tie-in for the television series. The manga runs monthly in Shueisha’s V-Jump magazine, with the series’ twenty-third chapter coming last week in the magazine’s June 2017 issue; the chapter was published digitally in English the same day by Viz. Illustrated by “Toyotarō” (in all likelihood, a second pen-name used by Dragon Ball AF fan manga author and illustrator “Toyble”), the Dragon Ball Super manga covered the Battle of Gods re-telling, skipped the Resurrection ‘F’ re-telling, and “charged ahead” to the Champa arc to act as further promotion for the television series. Viz is currently releasing free digital chapters of the series; the first print volume is set for release 02 May 2017 followed by the second volume 05 December 2017.

Listings for the seventh DVD and Blu-ray Japanese home video box set of the Dragon Ball Super television series have begun to appear on retailer sites.

The set — due out 02 August 2017 — will cover episodes 73 to 84, wrapping up the “Future Trunks arc” and beginning the “Universe Survival arc” of the series. The set will also include a creditless version of the respective closing theme used during its batch of episodes. DVD boxes are priced at ¥12,096 while Blu-ray boxes are priced at ¥16,416.

The sixth DVD and Blu-ray box for the series (covering episodes 61-72) was released earlier this month in Japan. The series is currently being released as two-disc box sets in Japan; single-disc rental DVDs are available separately with their own unique cover art.

This marks the first instance of Viz simultaneously publishing the series’ chapter alongside its Japanese debut, which saw its release today in the June 2017 issue of Shueisha’s V-Jump magazine in Japan.
