Episode Notes
- While the original broadcast of this episode featured Kenji Yamamoto’s musical score, the background music in all subsequent re-airings have been replaced by Shunsuke Kikuchi’s original musical score from Dragon Ball Z due to allegations of musical infringement. The credits below reflect those from the original broadcast in which Kenji Yamamoto is credited as the series’ musical composer, although Shunsuke Kikuchi is credited as such in all subsequent re-airings and all home video releases of this episode.
Re-animated Scene Gallery
This collection compiles all re-animated scenes featured in this episode’s original broadcast, listed in order of appearance. Each re-animated scene will be presented with a screen shot from the original Dragon Ball Z TV series (left) and another taken from the Dragon Ball Kai TV broadcast (right). In Japan, Dragon Ball Kai was broadcast in widescreen, so these comparisons will maintain this proper aspect ratio. All original comparison screen shots were taken from the Japanese Dragon Boxes and maintain their proper 4:3 aspect ratios. It should be noted that some of these re-animated scenes only appear in the widescreen presentation of the series and were possibly omitted from fullscreen releases, both domestically and internationally.
