Episode Summary
Chronoa looks around, wondering if everyone is all right. Ozotto suddenly appears next to her…
The Time Patrollers exit their door to see Ozotto holding Chronoa by the neck. Ozoztto says this Kaiōshin of Time has particularly special powers, even among the gods. Ozotto drops her into a pod and creates various clones of himself.
Meanwhile, the other Goku and Vegeta learn from Gohan that they are inside Ozotto’s body. The room around almost seems as if it’s alive! Gohan and the others have all been captured and held here this entire time. This means that they were actually eaten and absorbed at some point! Goku and Vegeta are caught by their ankles by goopy tentacles, but a series of glass bullets fly through the air and cut them loose. Lagss and Hearts are also here!
The Time Patrollers are likewise fighting their own giant goop tentacles, and having a rough go at it.
Outside, the “real” Ozotto — the four-armed “palace” — is impressed with everyone’s strength, and would like the honor of eating them all. Ozotto uses the Kaiōshin of Time’s power to attack the others.
Elsewhere inside, Goku, Hearts, & co. have broken out many of their family and friends, though Ozotto keeps throwing clones of himself at them. Vegeta thinks that there are still plenty more to go, however, considering how many people Ozotto must have eaten and absorbed along the way. Hearts figures everyone else must still be around here somewhere, but the faster way to win would be just defeating Ozotto himself. There is probably a core that they could attack, which reminds Vegeta of Cell. Hearts thinks he just sensed something…
Ozotto says he’s gained the power of a Kaiōshin of Time, but did not expect the power of a Potara fusion to be so strong. However, his clones will take care of them soon enough, and he will absorb them all after that.
Hearts thinks they should break directly through the walls, since they cannot attack Ozotto’s core from the inside — nothing they do in here seems to make any difference. It may even be a sort of different time-space dimension in here, so they need to break free of it with their power. Vegeta says he has an idea, and Hearts also needs to lend a hand. Hearts agrees, but will first work on fighting back against these Ozotto clones that seem to just keep coming and coming. Vegeta says he’s going to blow a hole in time-space and flies off.
Vegeta lands by himself and lets loose with a giant explosion…
A hole appears in the wall of Ozotto, and Goku flies over to pick up Vegeta. Goku’s hair begins to phase in and out, and something flies out of a hole in Ozotto — it’s Goku, now in full Ultra Instinct, with Vegeta in tow. Goku walks forward, ready to take on Ozotto.
Somewhere else, a shadowy figure stands up from sitting upon a throne…
Episode Notes
Manga vs. Anime Differences
-
Though the rough underlying story beats are largely the same between the two media, the Meteor Mission! manga series by Yoshitaka Nagayama includes a wealth of additional details and character appearances beyond what is seen here in the promotional anime. Of note, Trunks’ battle against a clone of Boo is interrupted by a Limit-Breaker Dragon Fist Explosion from Goku: Xeno and Vegeta: Xeno. From here, the story diverges significantly between the manga and promotional anime, with chapter 10 being almost entirely different.
Episode Credits
All credits listed below are as originally presented in the promotional episode. Unlike all prior episodes of the promotional anime, this “Meteor Mission” run of episodes does not include any animation credits; instead, general credits are featured during the opening animation (primarily those of Bandai staff), while the end credits exclusively feature voice credits.
