Episode Synopsis

Gohan’s power continues to rise! Cell laughs, having achieved his goal, but the angry Gohan somehow takes back the senzu from Cell, and heads to where Kuririn and the others are being tormented by the Cell Juniors. He then easily pulverizes the Cell Juniors one after the other!! Vegeta and the rest are all speechless at Gohan’s strength, and Goku watches on in satisfaction. Gohan chases after the frightened Cell Juniors, and finally wipes out all seven of them. Cell shows an angry face. Kuririn and co. recuperate by eating the senzu. With their battle recommencing, the super-powered Gohan reads through Cell’s movements, and easily dodges his attacks.

Episode Notes

• While the original broadcast of this episode featured Kenji Yamamoto’s musical score, the background music in all subsequent re-airings have been replaced by Shunsuke Kikuchi’s original musical score from Dragon Ball Z due to allegations of musical infringement. The credits below reflect those from the original broadcast in which Kenji Yamamoto is credited as the series’ musical composer, although Shunsuke Kikuchi is credited as such in all subsequent re-airings and all home video releases of this episode.
• Fuji TV publicist Tomoko Kumagai was incorrectly credited in the ending credits as “熊谷直子”, rather than her actual name, “熊谷知子”. This error was eventually noticed and publicly addressed by Toei Animation in an “Apology and Correction” note included with the “Artificial Human & Cell arc” box sets released in January 2015. However, the error was not actually corrected in these releases and still appears in all Blu-ray and DVD home video sets, in addition to the episode’s original broadcast.
