Episode Synopsis

It has been five years since Son Goku left the Tenka’ichi Budōkai to train Oob as his new pupil. As Oob’s training ends with Goku, Pilaf, Shuu, and Mai secretly enter God’s Temple in order to steal a new set of Dragon Balls. This set of balls, created by God before he expunged the evil within him, are much more powerful than those created later. After finding these Black Star Dragon Balls, Pilaf summons a red Shenlong. Goku interrupts Pilaf while he is in the process of making his wish, startling Pilaf into accidentally wishing that Goku become small enough for him to beat. The dragon grants this wish, turning Goku into a child. The Dragon Balls scatter, but instead of being spread throughout the world, they are scattered throughout the universe. In addition to this, the use of these balls comes with a dangerous consequence: if they are not gathered within one year’s time, the planet that the wish was made on will explode!
