When there is no official catalogue number, the K-number is substituted and links to the track's page. Our K-numbers are assigned in a manner that should be roughly consistent with the official catalogue numbers, though the numbers are almost always different; arcs are often broken up by movies, and sometimes BGM debut in an arc other than the one for which they were written.

The official A-J and M numbers represent the order in which the music was written/recorded. We use the letter K for our Kikuchi catalogue, not only because it is the first consonant of the composer's family name, but also because the work for this catalogue was originally done by a fan called kenisu and then expanded at Kanzenshuu. The letter K was never used for official catalogue numbers, so all K-catalogue numbers are our internal catalogue numbers.
This catalogue | This catalogue details all official track data alongside our internal catalogue numbers and our tonality characterizations. There are two alternate versions of this catalogue: one with our characterization of BGM theme groups, and another with kenisu's fan titles. In both cases, these are given in place of the official Title column.
==Kikuchi Catalogue==
When official catalogue numbers are available, they are highlighted in the "Official Catalogue" column. Most BGM do not have official titles, but where they exist they are given. More typically, officially released tracks are suites containing several BGM; when applicable, the suite titles are given.
Musical keys are given when possible, even if the piece ends on a dominant or other transitive tonality. When it is not possible to deduce the key, the final tonality is given in the form of a chord. | Musical keys are given when possible, even if the piece ends on a dominant or other transitive tonality. ==About==
This catalogue is modeled after scholarly catalogues of the music of classical composers, such as the Köchel (K) catalogue for the works of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, or the Bach-Werke-Verzeichnis (BWV) catalogue for the works of Johann Sebastian Bach. Our catalogue is limited to Shunsuke Kikuchi's Dragon Ball works and is therefore relatively straightforward; however many of the BGM in the Uncertain Authorship category might be attributable to Kikuchi, and it is possible that some BGM in the Kikuchi catalogue might not be composed or even arranged by him.

Revision as of 22:41, 18 February 2021
This is a full catalogue of Shunsuke Kikuchi's Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z background music (BGM) compositions.
The tracks are ordered according to their appearance in the series, movies, and disc releases, whichever comes first.

Our K-numbers represent the order in which the music debuted. The official A-J and M numbers represent the order in which the music was written/recorded. We use the letter K for our Kikuchi catalogue, not only because it is the first consonant of the composer's family name, but also because the work for this catalogue was originally done by a fan called kenisu[a] and then expanded at Kanzenshuu. The letter K was never used for official catalogue numbers, so all K-catalogue numbers are our internal catalogue numbers.
This catalogue details all official track data alongside our internal catalogue numbers and our tonality characterizations. There are two alternate versions of this catalogue: one with our characterization of BGM theme groups, and another with kenisu's fan titles. In both cases, these are given in place of the official Title column.
Kikuchi Catalogue
When official catalogue numbers are available, they are highlighted in the "Official Catalogue" column. Most BGM do not have official titles, but where they exist they are given. More typically, officially released tracks are suites containing several BGM; when applicable, the suite titles are given.
Musical keys are given when possible, even if the piece ends on a dominant or other transitive tonality. When it is not possible to deduce the key, the final tonality is given in the form of a chord.
Uncertain Authorship
The below pieces are of uncertain authorship. Some of them may have been composed by Kikuchi, but most of them are probably stock music or perhaps musical sound effects from the Hidenori Arai library.
About
This catalogue is modeled after scholarly catalogues of the music of classical composers, such as the Köchel (K) catalogue for the works of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, or the Bach-Werke-Verzeichnis (BWV) catalogue for the works of Johann Sebastian Bach.

Notes
- ↑ Elsewhere in the wiki, citations lead to an archived version of kenisu's old website, which is the version that we downloaded and used as a basis for our work.
- ↑ When B3 is used in the anime, a studio track is added of a synthesizer doubling the melody. This track is not included in the officially released recording.
- ↑ This song is composed by Shunsuke Kikuchi, but it is not included in the chain of BGM pages; K-151 leads to K-201.
